Bhagwan Parshuram
Bhagwan Parshuram Bhagwan Parshuram Chiranjiv (Immortal) Parshuram was the sixth Avatar of Vishnu. Parashuram was a devotee of Shiva and received a parshu (a weapon) as a boon from Lord Shiva, thus he was named Parashurama. Shiva also gave him battle skills. As a child Parashurama was a keen learner and always listened to his father Rishi Jamadagni. Parashurama was the first warrior Brahmin and is also called Brahmakshatriya (both Brahmin and Kshatriya means warrior). His mother Renuka was the daughter of Devi Kshatriya. Why Parshuram killed his mother? Parshuram's parents were great spiritual masters, his mother Renuka Devi commanded a water pot and his father Jamadagni on fire. It also said that Renuka Devi can also bring water in a wet clay pot.
