Iskcon Temple Delhi (Sri Sri Radha Parthsarthi Temple)

Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir known as the ISKCON Delhi temple was inaugurated on 5 April, 1998 by the then Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It is situated at Hare Krishna Hills in the East of Kailash, New Delhi.
The temple is a huge structure, with 90-foot-high 'shikharas'. The paintings portray exceptional scenes from the lives of deities like Lord Krishan and Radha, and Lord Ram and Sita.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) follows strict line of worship inside the Vaishnava subculture. 24 priests are assigned for the temple prayers and services. The each day habitual consists of six aartis presented to the deities, particularly Mangala Aarti, Darshan Aarti, Raj Bhog Aarti, Usthapana Aarti, Sandhya Aarti, and Shyana Aarti. The devotees are supplied 'bhoga ka prasad' after the prayers to the deities are finished.

The Temple Complex

The Museum of Vedic Culture
The museum inside the temple is nicely equipped with tools of modern era for spreading the knowledge about the Vedic culture among the followers. It also showcases some sculptures of the gods and goddesses. The ISKCON Vedic Expo may even interest devotees.

Bhagvadgita Animatronics Robot Show
The temple arranges a special Cartoon Robot Show in which clay robots relate the teachings of the Bhagavadgita.

Ramayana Art Gallery
The scenes from the epic Ramayana are demonstrated using multimedia and light-and-sound effects.

The Vedic Centre for Performing Arts
The complex has an open-air amphitheatre where artistes come from the world to present their skills, showing scenes from the great epics of Hinduism.
Timings
The temple remains open all seven days of the week between 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The main altar stays closed from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Govinda’s – Vegetarian Restaurant
Govinda’s is a pure vegetarian restaurant which serves wholesome and hearty vegetarian meals, which is first offered to Lord Krishna.
Goal of this restaurant is to promote a healthy and vegetarian food among the people.
Timings
Lunch : 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Dinner: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Vedic Library
The Library houses over 2000 books by different authors and saints.

Celebration

The temple rejoices the festivals of Gaura Purnima, Rama Navami and Sri Krishna Janmastami in the presence of devotees from different parts of the country and abroad.

World's Largest Sacred Book

The Glory of India Vedic Cultural 'Bhagavad Gita', which is the largest printed book of the major text of any world religion. The weighs 800 kg and measures over 2.8 metres, was unveiled by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 26 February, 2019.
